Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company pens deal with Betr

US

Betr, a new microbetting business founded by Simplebet co-founder Joey Levy and social media personality Jake Paul, has entered into a partnership with Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (HOFV).

Under a 10-year deal that will initially focus on Ohio, Betr will become HOFV’s official mobile sports betting partner, subject to securing the necessary licenses.

As part of the transaction, HOFV will receive a limited stake in Betr as well as access to revenue sharing and opportunities for cross-marketing, branding and consumer engagement.

HOFV is the only resort, entertainment and media company focused on professional football. The company also announced a sports betting partnership with Rush Street Interactive earlier this year.

HOFV President and CEO Michael Crawford said:

“Betr positions us to obtain the licenses needed to have a dramatic impact on the mobile betting space and deliver meaningful value to our stakeholders.”

Powered by SimpleBet, Betr launched this month with $50 million in fundingBetr allows customers to bet on smaller aspects of the game, such as pitches and at-bats during baseball games, soccer plays and drives.

The Betr app will be released in the next few weeks, but the operator does not yet have a license, so it will be free to play initially.

“Our differentiated offering combines the strengths of HOFV with a sports media company built for the next generation of sports fans and access to unique content experiences in Ohio and across the country. We are confident that this will be a successful partnership,” Levy said.

“We are also pleased that HOFV has acquired an equity position in Betr as part of this agreement. We appreciate HOFV’s trust in our vision and look forward to working with them to introduce something new to the industry while creating value for all our shareholders.”
