Arizona’s sports betting handles fell month-over-month in April, but $535.7 million wagered by players increased year-over-year.
Monthly handles were 4.5% above $512.9 million in April 2022, but 16.9% below $644.8 million. March of this year.
Of this total, $531.2 million was spent on online sports betting, while only $3.7 million was wagered at retail sportsbooks in the state.
Consumers earned $486.5 million from wagering, leaving $48 million in adjusted gross event wagering revenue before free wagering. This was 64.4% higher than last year’s $29.2 million, but 10.1% higher than last March’s $53.4 million.
