Betfred has signed a three-year extension of its partnership with Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Bookmakers have also donated more than £ 35,000 (€ 41,284 / $ 42,226) to charity following their recent activities at the PDC event.
Under the agreement, Betfred will remain the title sponsor of World Match Play until at least the end of 2025, and bookmakers will continue to support girls.World matchplay for the first time this year.
Betfred has sponsored the PDC’s World Matchplay Summer event since 2019, and the new deal means title sponsorship for at least seven years through 2025.

“Betfred World Matchplay is one of my favorite sporting events every year. The 2022 event was a great championship.”

Betfred has announced that this year’s World Matchplay charity has raised £35,428 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Betfred donated £ 50 for every 180 points in nine days of action, scoring a record total of 367 maximum points in World Matchplay and triggering a £ 10,000 charity bonus.
Competing players and visiting celebrities also took part in the nine-dart challenge, with £1 for each point donated to charity. This helped raise an additional £7,000 for the campaign.
