Chilean casino regulator Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ) has announced that casino operator Operaciones el Escorial SA has withdrawn its application for a casino operating license in the Antofagasta region.
Operacionesel Escorial SA, which operates under the Enjoy Group, was first established in 2008.
The operator withdrew the application in a letter sent to SCJ.
Following this, regulatory agencies issued an exemption resolution on May 4, officially deleting the Operaciones el Escorial S.A application.
Operaciones el Escorial SA applied for license under SCJ Casino permit renewal processOpened in September 2021.
After the process began, SCJ proceeded to issue licenses to the Enjoy San Antonio and Enjoy Santiago facilities in the Valparaiso region.
In this process, many operators applied for licenses or renewals before the February 22, 2022 deadline.
Evaluation of the proposal will end on June 23rd.
The SCJ said it would continue to evaluate the other 12 applicants submitted in October and November 2021 and January this year.
