Kambi and Eyas target Brazil with Lance! Betting launch

Kanbi Group has partnered with Eyas Gaming and Brazilian football media website Lance. This is to launch a new online sportsbook in the country.

Based on this contract, Kambi will focus on launching “Lance!”. Betting” brand with sports betting technology.

New sportsbook leverages existing Lance! Follows over 15 million monthly active users. Eyas Gaming, backed by Gauselmann Group, will oversee the operation of the brand.

A partnership with Eyas Gaming could lead to the launch of sports betting in other markets in the future, Kambi added.

Kambi was a ‘natural choice’ for Eiyas

“We are honored to have this deal with Eyas Gaming on paper,” said Kristian Nylén, co-founder and CEO of Kambi. “They are an operating company whose management team boasts distinct expertise and the same passion for sports betting that we do.

“This agreement will allow Cambi to further strengthen its wide range of partners across Brazil and Latin America.

Eyas Gaming CEO Adam Joseph added: Brazilian gambling brand.

“Cambi’s track record in Latin America and its proven suite of high-performance technologies made partnering with Cambi a natural choice.”

Tighter regulations in Brazil

Kambi had previously spoken about plans to expand operations in Brazil, which had been postponed due to delays in the country’s regulations. Last year, the supplier agreed to partner with local fantasy sports leader Rey de Pitaco.

In May, the Brazilian government launched interim measures on gambling, taking a step towards legalizing gambling. The move marks the end of a 20-year waiting period for the country.

This includes a 16% tax on gross gaming revenue for licensed operators that will be allocated to public health and anti-fixing efforts.

Players are subject to 30% income tax on winnings, capped at R$2,112.

The country’s Ministry of Finance will be responsible for regulating sports betting. This includes responsibility for promoting advertising and setting fines for those who violate regulations.

No bettors under the age of 18, persons affiliated with sports organizations, including athletes, or employees of bookmakers may place bets.

Ayasu change direction?

Eyas was originally founded in October 2020 by Michael Brady, Joe Saumarez Smith and current CEO Joseph. Earlier that year, Gauselman acquired a majority stake in Bead Gaming, the former business of Brady and Soumareth Smith.

At the time, Eyas was targeting the German gaming market, which was finally reregulated in July 2021. Saumarez Smith was later suggested Stringent regulatory requirements imposed on the industry will delay these plans.
