Sportnco, a subsidiary of Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), has signed the first sportsbook contract for Colombia with an unnamed “Tier 1” operator.
Acquired by GiG for € 51.3 million earlier this year, Sportnco already offers a player account management (PAM) solution to another client in the country, but the deal is the first launch of a sportsbook in the country. Means
GiG did not reveal the operator’s name, but said the deal meant that Colombia was the third regulated market to offer both software and services to this client.
“The growing demand clearly shows that we have created a sportsbook solution that is recognized as an industry leader in the igaming industry,” said Hervé Schlosser, Managing Director of Sportnco. “We are very proud that leading Tier 1 operators are regaining their trust in technologies and services for other markets.
“We look forward to strengthening our relationships with our long-term partners in Colombia.”
According to H2 Gambling Capital, Colombia is a “profitable and fast-growing” market with total online revenue of $ 420 million in 2021. Most of this number also points to H2, which is due to sports betting.
This is the second deal after GiG announced a lengthening agreement with Maryland-based Crab Sports this week. This is the first US transaction since the acquisition of Sportnco. GiG and Crab Sports will be operational in the second half of this year.
