MGA cancels DGV Entertainment’s licence over missed payments – Legal & compliance

Malta’s Gaming Authority (MGA) has revoked DGV Entertainment Group’s license in the country after the operator failed to pay license and compliance fees.

DGV operated the AurumPalace and FlipperFlip brands under license, but the license was revoked by the regulator.

In its ruling, the MGA said DGV violated a series of rules, including Rule 3(1)(b) of the Gaming License Fees Rules, relating to the requirement for licensees to pay certain license fees.

The MGA said that DGV has not yet paid the agreed €25,000 (£20,901/$25,484) license fee for the period from 23 November 2021 to 22 November 2022, thus the operator is in violation of the regulation. I said yes.

DGV was also found to have violated Rules 3(1)(a) and 6 of the Gaming License Fee Rules by failing to pay the applicable compliance contributions to the regulator. The MGA said it will pay out a total of €10,333 over the period from December 2021 to the present.

The regulator also took action against the Gaming Authorization and Compliance Directive (2018 41(2)(a) of the 2003 Directive 3). – Day.

In addition, DGV has failed to file its interim financial statements covering the period from 1 January 2021 to 30 June 2021 by the 30 August 2021 deadline, resulting in non-compliance with gaming licenses and compliance. It turns out that you have violated Article 41(1) of the Directive.

DGV has 20 days from today (August 4th) to respond with a decision on why the MGA should not proceed with the cancellation. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the revocation of the license.
