Holland Casino generated €82.8 million in revenue from online games in the first half of 2022. That’s less than a quarter of total revenue.
In total, the business recorded revenues of €353.4 million. This was above the total recorded during the period. Whole 2021, when the business brought in €304.2 million, or €333.1 million in 2020. During those two years, Holland Casino faced an extended closure and restrictions on the facility’s license to operate.

Online game revenue of 82.8 million euros thus accounted for 23.4% of Holland Casin’s total revenue.
Online gaming is a new vertical for Holland Casino, which has just been legalized in the Netherlands in October 2021.
“Online guests continue to appreciate our offer despite increased competition,” continues Leise. “Therefore, we expect it to be a positive year for Dutch casinos. ”

The business reported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of €40 million. By contrast, profit before tax was €8.2 million.
The operator also repaid €51.7 million worth of taxes deferred due to the impact of the pandemic over the half year. In total, this business deferred him 313.4 million euros. Chief Financial Officer Ruud Bergervoort said the operator is currently set to pay the remainder in 60 installments, but is looking for ways to pay it off more quickly.
