DraftKings has raised its earnings guidance for the year after its net loss fell year-over-year for the first time since going public.
Second quarter 2022 revenue was $466.2 million, up 57.1% year over year.
Nearly all of this total (up 68.2% to $454.7 million) came from the B2C business, with the rest coming from the legacy SBTech B2B business, where revenue declined sharply.
DraftKings said the increase came despite “an unfavorable sports calendar for the second quarter of 2022 compared to the second quarter of 2021.”
Nearly all of DraftKings’ revenue came from the United States, at $456.1 million. Monthly unique players for his B2C business were 1.5 million during the quarter, up from his 1.1 million a year earlier. These customers averaged $103 worth of revenue, up from $80 in Q2 2021, well above the $67 recorded in Q1.
