Video virtual sports developer Highlight Games has signed a licensing deal with English Premier League champions Manchester City.
Under the deal, Highlight Games will develop a new suite of Instant Win products featuring archival footage of Manchester City matches.
Video content displayed in the new digital scratch card game includes goals and action from domestic league and cup games involving clubs.
“This agreement will allow Highlight Games to further expand its product portfolio, combining proprietary archival footage with Manchester City intellectual property to create premium branded games,” said Co-CEO of Highlight Games. author Steven Holmes said.
“Combining the simplicity of the new instant win game with some of Manchester City’s best goals of the past season, we are confident it will be very popular with players.”
Manchester City have clinched their sixth Premier League title in the 2021-22 season, narrowly fending off a challenge from Liverpool.
The club are currently second in the 2022-23 Premier League standings after a 3-3 draw with Newcastle United in the third round, with seven points from three games.
