Sportech appoints new independent non-executive director

Sports betting technology company Sportech has elected to add Paul Humphrey to its board of directors as an independent non-executive director.

The move will take effect from 1 September 2022. The Board said Humphrey’s presence will further strengthen the Board and bring a wealth of experience relevant to the Group’s strategy.

The company’s chairman, Richard McGuire, said: Therefore, I am pleased with this appointment, which further strengthens the financial expertise and independence of the Board. ”

Humphrey is currently an active company director and has served on many company boards over the past five years.

Sportech recently announced a number of senior management appointments, including CFO Nicola Rowlands in July, CEO Andrew Lindley and non-executive director Ben Warn in May, and the company’s independent non-executive chairman Giles Vardey in April. I am having trouble resigning. .

These changes were largely due to the downsizing of the business after the sale of the global tote business to BetMakers.
