Online payment provider AstroPay has announced the appointment of Fayyaz Ansari as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Based in the UK, Ansari will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of AstroPay’s global financial management and activities.
Ansari joins AstroPay from Paysafe Group, where he was CFO and Director of the Skrill division from September 2015 to March this year.
Prior to that, he spent seven years as Group Financial Controller at Skrill, Audit Executive at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Audit Supervisor at Simmons Gainsford Group.
“I am excited to work with a team that is passionate about their business, has a clear strategy, and always puts customer needs first,” said Ansari. A strong business model, focus on diversity and a proud history have given AstroPay extraordinary growth and influence.
We believe our unique value proposition and strong foundation will allow us to grow our business and execute on our vision of making payments more accessible to our customers around the world. ”
AstroPay CEO Mikael Lijtenstein said: His extensive experience has been instrumental in accelerating growth and executing a strategic plan to position him for the future.
“Fayyaz and team contribute to our mission of providing financial freedom to millions of people around the world. I look forward to working with you.”
The appointment comes after AstroPay was announced last month as the new principal partner of English Premier League football club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
AstroPay branding will appear on the front of Wolves players’ jerseys during the 2022-23 season, which starts later today (August 5).
