Entain extends Trident Leagues community partnership

Entain has announced a multi-year extension of its community sports investment-based partnership with Trident Leagues, a group of UK non-league football competitions.

The deal extends a partnership that began in December 2020, allowing the Entain Foundation charity to continue supporting the 248 clubs that play in the Isthmian, Northern Premier and Southern Leagues that make up the Trident League.

The Entein Foundation is a grassroots sports investment initiative created to provide financial support for successful league operations during the pandemic and to enable all clubs to engage with their communities and create positive societies. The initiative has expanded over the past two years, with the launch of the Trident Community Fund (TCF) to fund community-based projects through a grant application process for 228 clubs, and the launch of the Pitching In Volunteer Hub, an online portal. Since the partnership was launched in December 2020, the TCF has awarded over 65 grants of up to £5,000 to support programs such as enabling underprivileged children to participate in football. The Pitching In Volunteer Hub launched in May of this year, allowing clubs across the Trident League to post volunteer vacancies on an online portal. Supporters can search for opportunities based on a specific club or its location.

Former England international and Wealdstone FC non-league player Stuart Pearce will continue in his role as a pitching-in ambassador as part of the extension.
