Betting Technology Business Sportech has announced that Nicola Rowlands will resign as Chief Financial Officer on September 30th.
Rowlands will end its business and become Deputy CFO of the Digital Marketing Services Group.
Sportech said its board of directors is now looking to consider the appropriate composition and appoint a replacement candidate, and Rowlands will continue to operate after the publication of its interim results in September.
Rowlands joined Sportech as Group Finance Controller in November 2010, serving just under 11 years in the role before becoming CFO last September.
Prior to that, he was Parkwood Holdings’ Group Treasury Controller, Glendale Countryside’s Treasury Director, and Parkwood Holdings’ Group Treasury Manager.
Additionally, Rowlands had a spell as a PricewaterhouseCoopers executive.
“I’ve been with Sportech for nearly 12 years, I’ve enjoyed my time at the company and I’m proud to have achieved it with management and employees,” Rowlands said. “But I believe it’s time to move on to the next stage of my career in the department.
“We are confident that Sportec will continue to provide value to both our shareholders and our customers, and we hope that our board and team will do their best for the future.”
Richard McGuire, Executive Chairman of Sportech, adds: We will return a large amount of capital to our shareholders.
“She leaves here with our best wishes for her future career.”
Rowlands is the latest player to leave Sportech in recent months. In May, CEO Andrew Lindley announced he was stepping down and Ben Warne stepped down as a non-executive director, while Giles Vardey stepped down from his role as independent non-executive chairman in April. .
