Sportradar has announced the launch of Athlete Wellbeing, a program aimed at supporting athletes and reducing the impact of sports betting on their mental health.
The scheme focuses on educating and preventing problem behaviors and includes on-demand virtual sessions, pre-recorded webins, and face-to-face workshops.
Sportradar is affiliated with program addiction and mental health professionals. This includes Kindbridge Behavioral Health, a mental health treatment provider focused on gaming-related disabilities, and Dr. Timothy Fong, co-director of the UCLA Gambling Research Program. Brianne Doura-Schawohl, a responsible gambling expert.
Jim Brown, Head of Integrity Services in Sportradar and Athlete Wellbeing in North America, said the program forms an important part of Sportradar’s offerings.
