Light & Wonder has announced that its sports betting business, OpenBet, will strengthen Sazka as an online and mobile sportsbook for Czech sportsbook brand Sazkabet.
As part of the transaction, Sazkabet has already deployed an OpenBet managed services platform that includes a scalable betting engine and risk and liability management system.
In addition, OpenBet is now expanding its presence throughout Europe by partnering with Sazka, the largest lottery operator in the Czech Republic.
Jan Horina, Sazka’s igaming director, said the agreement was important for improving the company’s products.
“The transition to OpenBet’s sports betting technology and services is a key move to provide our customers with a quality and responsible betting experience,” said Horina.
“We are pleased to see that OpenBet’s latest and most innovative technology has significantly improved the overall sportsbook offering and offers the opportunity to plan future collaborations with OpenBet over the next few months.”
OpenBet currently has more than 75 global customers, including 46 sports books across 12 states.

The news follows Light & Wonder’s decision to reduce the sale price of OpenBet by $ 400 million to sell its business to IMG Arena owner Endeavor.
