SIS seeks US betting growth with double appointment – People moves

Sports Information Services (SIS), a live betting service provider, has appointed senior positions to Brenda Strickland and Sean Beirne in its US-facing subsidiary business of SIS Content Services Inc to support ongoing growth plans in the country.

Strickland will be the Regulatory and Business Manager focused on managing and maintaining compliance, licensing, and reporting capabilities in the United States. This includes facilitating compliance with state regulatory requirements and managing internal corporate policies and procedures.

Prior to joining SIS Content Services, Strickland spent nine years at Sportech as a senior paralegal and contract manager.

Beirne will assume the role of Commercial Manager in the United States. Its main responsibility is to build relationships with US sportsbooks and sell live betting content. He works to navigate regional regulations so that SIS can distribute sportsbook content and parimutuel-style products.

Bain, an executive in the horse racing industry with over 30 years of experience in racetrack management, operation, regulation and education, has recently been the director of the horse industry program at the University of Louisville Business School.

“The US market offers significant opportunities for SIS to grow, especially with the expected rollout of state-to-state fixed odds betting and advances in esports betting regulations,” said SIS Chief Executive Officer and SIS Content. Richard Ames, president of the service, said. He said.
